Lenovo came in second for notebook computers and Dell was second for desktops. The findings will be published in the June issue and a copy was obtained by TMO . Consumer Reports made the following observations in its report . Apple s tech support solved the problem more than percent of the time. This was much higher than the typical percent achieved. . Apple s Genius Bar solved the problem percent of the time and the assistance is free. . In general extended warranty plans generally aren t good buys. Except for Apple. Consumer Re! ports recommends Apple s AppleCare primarily because free call in technical support ends after days though the warranty is one full year and because Apple s track record for solving problems under their extended warranty is significantly better than for support without a plan which is already a standout for Apple. . There were clear differences between computer manufacturers in technical support. Apple scored for notebook computers while Lenovo scored only and Dell . Hewlett Packard was last scoring . With Desktop computers Apple scored while Dell was second with a score of . H P Compaq was last with a score of . Source Consumer Reports June Consumer Reports noted that data from a different survey showed that customers who had their computer repaired out of warranty were highly satisfied only about half the time. One in four were dissatisfied complained about repairs taking ore than two weeks the repairs being excessively expensive and being unsuccessful on the first try. A! s a result of the scores only Apple and Lenovo were cited as Top Supporters by Consumer Reports. Ukrainian VIP Escort Women
Leisure is the pastime that is spent in the period of time when a man doesn't have any business or any other activities to do. It also does not consist of the compulsory deeds such as having dinner or sleeping. The first record of this notion was found in the Latin language and it meant to be free, to be permitted. This word appeared in Victorian Epoch in Britain when people have got their eight-hour working day and had 2 days off per week. Hobbies and holidays were the part of workers' privileges so they also came from that days. There are usually active and passive types of free time for a typical person. Active leisure signifies that people have active time spending during their free time. It may be football, basketball and other competitive games. Also it can be not a body activity but still it can wear out people: playing draughts or writing poems. Going to cinema, watching television etc. are the passive free time when you just doing nothing, when your mind and body are relaxed from any exertions. Many persons think that this type of leisure is irrational i.e. all advantages of free time are lost. But, passive free time is more preferable among many different people. We also propose you to spend your leisure in the surrounding of adult escort service Ukraine. For people who can't live without varieties in sex and pleasure thisactivity is the thing that they need. People are usually afraid of the word prostitute but it isn't right. Nowadays it is not as horrible as it was several years ago but some people still have an unpleasant attitude to the prostitutes. But this relation is completely depends on the social point of view on sex in general. From the one hand sex gives a satisfaction. As a conclusion we can consider sex a usual service that one can get everywhere. And the other point is that such a sex is not concerned with sex relations that are directed to making babies. At all times people tabooed various sexual relations and reproved everybody who had such relationships. That blame was the streakier as more monogamous was the community. And just in the twentieth century sexual rehabilitation has begun in the states of Europe and Northern America. A bad relation to this profession has made the name of this business common to different spheres of human activity. For example venal politicians are named political prostitutes. And we are modern people and our attitude to them should be tolerant to each person and occupation, because money has no smell. So if you are not afraid of this term contact us and we are going to make your relaxation unforgettable.

Analysis Microsoft without Yahoo BBC News
Microsoft has withdrawn its takeover bid for rival Yahoo On the face of it both companies are. After all who can tackle the Google behemoth bestriding the world wide web Steve Ballmer and Jerry Yang both face the Google challenge However that assumes that the combination of Microsoft s and Yahoo s DNA would have created a top athlete not a corporate Frankenstein. Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer may beg to differ but it was far from certain that the combination of two not quite that successful teams of web engineers would have resulted in a credible challenger for Google. Take Yahoo s most recent technical failure called Panama. This advertising platform was supposed to match up search results with appropriate advertising. There s nothing in Panama that I would want to integrate with our offering a senior Microsoft executive told me last week. Buying eyeballs Ultimately Microsoft s bid for Yahoo was probably not about technology but eyeballs the term used by advertisi! ng executives to describe a website s number of users. Despite all its troubles Yahoo still commands a lead in the all important US web market and it has a healthy market share in many countries around the world. As Microsoft had difficulties growing its global web reach organically buying eyeballs or market share through the acquisition of Yahoo was the obvious solution. Now Mr Ballmer has to come up with a Plan B. Connecting the dots Once again the solution comes from the Department of the Bleeding Obvious but is worth repeating nonetheless. Microsoft is big on the web because it can shepherd audiences straight from its Windows operating system to its Internet Explorer browser its Live Messenger and all its web properties. The problem is that Microsoft s web offering has always been less than compelling. And as a result Microsoft has been fraying at the edges losing both users and revenue to the likes of Google. At Yahoo champagne corks will be popping as it has escaped t! he clutches of Microsoft In the long term these losses are not sustainable for Microsoft especially as web based applications are getting better and command ever more eyeballs. To staunch the haemorrhaging of users Microsoft has to make its web offering not only more compelling but much more integrated. Google for its part has managed to link up its disparate suite of web tools in a nicely integrated offering. Getting from Gmail to Google Docs to Google Maps to Google search to Google reader or even Google Earth requires just a click or two. Now Microsoft has to do the same. One Microsoft executive calls its connecting our own dots . Already Microsoft s Live offering of search maps and other tools is beginning to resemble and in some ways for example video search even excels the Google proposition. It is still done in a very old school Microsoft way and creaking and jarring in many places. Travelling the Microsoft Live universe gives users a feel for the rivalries between the many competing teams within Microsoft. Buying in expertise But inste! ad of waiting for another big deal like buying Yahoo expect to see Microsoft going on a buying spree for many small Web . companies. This would not be a sign of weakness. Remember some of Google s best offerings are the fruit of such small acquisitions. Microsoft founder Bill Gates will end his day to day involvement with the company this summer. The firm s new leadership will have to prove that it can deliver a web offering that is integrated profitable and can ultimately substitute the profits generated by Microsoft s top two cash cows Windows and Office. After all what is it that Google s clever engineers can do that Microsoft s equally clever engineers can t Maybe it has something to do with the corporate mindset and the lack of focus in Microsoft s sprawling empire. Yahoo At Yahoo meanwhile champagne corks will be popping as it has escaped the clutches of Microsoft. The next day though will see Yahoo wake up with an almighty hangover. Yahoo founder Jerry Yang promised ! shareholders and staff that with the distraction of Microsoft s unsolicited proposal now behind us we will be able to focus all of our energies on executing the most important transition in our history . Fat chance of that. Mr Yang and his top managers will be mightily distracted by the need to chase revenue generating deals with the likes of Google and AOL. Even more worryingly they have to brace themselves for a deluge of lawsuits from angry shareholders who have lost out big time. And if Yahoo s techies were worried about falling under the leaden grip of Microsoft management they will soon have to swallow even harder when their solutions are discarded to make way for the tried and tested offering from Google. Already Yahoo has run tests to replace its paid search system with that from Google. Yahoo likes to write its name with an exclamation mark at the end Yahoo . Judge makes Yahoo AOL pay Net music royalties USA Today
A federal court on Wednesday established a formula for determining the Internet royalties owed to thousands of music composers writers and publishers by three major online services Yahoo AOL and RealNetworks. The American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers hailed the decision estimating the guidelines could yield as much as million in payments covering a seven year period ending in . The trade group known as ASCAP had contended that its members weren t being properly compensated for musical works that helped drive traffic and increase revenue for Yahoo Time Warner s AOL and RealNetworks. Wednesday s ruling issued by a federal judge in New York doesn t affect the royalties owed to record companies. A representative for the Digital Media Association a trade group representing the Internet services declined to comment on the ruling late Wednesday. U.S. District Judge William Conner s page decision didn t specify the total amount owed to the ASCAP members but he provide! d an example on how the formula would apply to the music royalties owed by AOL and Yahoo for . Under the formula endorsed by Conner AOL owed fees of . million and Yahoo owed . million. That s far more than AOL and Yahoo envisioned. New York based AOL had proposed paying just in royalties while Sunnyvale based Yahoo had proposed paying in licensing fees according to court documents. Conner s estimates were slightly less than what ASCAP had sought from the Internet services. The group wanted . million from AOL and . million from Yahoo to cover the royalties according to court documents. Yahoo must pay royalties dating back to while AOL must cover fees going back to . RealNetworks unpaid bill goes back to . The amount for each year will vary widely depending on the amount of music streamed over their Internet services and the usage of their sites. The new formula will also be used to determine the online royalties owed by all three companies through . This historic decision fo! r the first time provides a clear framework for how the online use of musical works should be appropriately valued said John LoFrumento ASCAP s chief executive. Speaker Pelosi Fires Preemptive Liar Strike On Petraeus
Main VA Loan Site VA Mortgage Center.com Blog Military Education Scholarships Round Now Open Speaker Pelosi Fires Preemptive Liar Strike On Petraeus April rd pm by CJ Well it s that time of year again the required month Iraq report. It s become standard practice for the defeatists in the Democratic Party to discount the war reports before they ve even been given . So with General Petreaus scheduled to testify next week before Congress on progress or lack thereof in Iraq Nancy Peloser is already warning him not to put a shine on recent events in the country. I find it interesting how they cherry pick what they want to believe from Iraq s top general. During last September s testimony Gen. Petreaus testified that political progress in Iraq was lacking. Immediately the defeatist appeasers jumped all over that little tidbit of information and ignored everything else in the testimony. Moveon.org even went so far as to air ads saying Petraeus is a traitor and bastardizing his name! by calling him General Betray Us . You ll remember the Senate voted to condemn the ad except for Democratic Presidential Candidate Barack Hussein Obama . They don t want to hear good news. I hope we don t hear any glorification of what happened in Basra said Pelosi referring to a recent military offensive against Shiite militants in the city led by the Iraqi government and supported by U.S. forces. By the way what happened in Basra is that US and Iraqi forces SHUT DOWN the Sadr militia and forced him to again retreat defeated. When are we just going to put a bullet through this man s forehead Interestingly the Democrats don t want to be reminded of the success in Basra and instead focus on Al Sadr s successes in create havoc in the city. Doesn t anyone else see this I will be traveling to DC on Monday ahead of Gen. Petraeus to speak with my Congressmen and ask them to listen to his report with an open mind and remember that they are listening to an honorable man speak hone! stly about what he sees on a daily basis in Iraq. I will be joined by over other Iraq and Afghanistan veterans veterans who actually have firsthand experiences on the ground. Does Peloser even even realize that Gen. Petraeus has been in Iraq longer than he s been home the past five years He s spent more time in Iraq the past five years than she s spent in DC. Who are we to believe Speaker Peloser who s been in Iraq less than hours total or a brave American Warrior who sees reality firsthand This entry is filed under Military News Top Posts and tagged No Tags .
